ICC Soccer Sends Four Players to MACJC All-Star Game

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI/LetsGoICC.com) – Itawamba Community College soccer coach Mike Sullivan announced four players have been selected to the 2013 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Soccer All-Star game on Wednesday.

Sophomores Amber Carruth (Amory), Katie Proctor (Columbus), Daniel Cox (DeSoto Central) and Cullen Grantham (Corinth) will participate in the first-ever MACJC All-Star game hosted by Holmes Community College at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland, MS.

The inaugural event is scheduled for November 16th, but the game will be postponed to the Saturday following the conclusion of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Tournament if a MACJC team qualifies for the tournament.

The women’s match is set for 2:00 with the men scheduled to follow at 4:30 p.m.

The game is presented by JUCOWeekly, the Mississippi Army National Guard, and Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center.

The Lady Indians finished the season 4-10-2 while the Indians (9-4-3) won their first-ever outright MACJC North Division championship and earned a bye in the opening round of the state tournament.
