Neither team has declared a starting pitcher for the second round game.

The game will be televised by ESPN2 with Mike Patrick and Orel Hershiser on the call. Jim Ellis and Bart Gregory will handle the radio broadcast duties during Mississippi State’s postseason run with broadcasts on the statewide Bulldog Sports Network.

The Bulldogs, playing in their ninth NCAA College World Series, would earn a berth in Friday’s bracket finals with a win. State, with a school record-tying ninth postseason win earlier in the win, could also become the fourth MSU team to win 50 games in a season. The 1985 MSU Baseball edition posted wins in its first two CWS games en route to a school-best tie for third place in the NCAA College World Series.

Wes Rea’s two-run double in the eighth inning game listed the Bulldogs to a 5-4 win over No. 6 national seed Oregon State Monday night at TD Ameritrade. A pair of sophomore relief aces, Ross Mitchell and Jonathan Holder, finished up the game for starter Kendall Graveman. Mitchell notched his school-record 13th win in relief while Holder registered his SEC-best 19th save and moved to 29 in career saves, one off the school mark. Holder’s save the 22nd of the season for the MSU bullpen, breaking the single season saves mark of 21 set by the Bulldogs in 2012. Holder worked around ninth inning difficulties and picked up the save when Hunter Renfroe raced to glove a towering fly ball near TD Ameritrade’s right field wall for the game’s final out.

Adam Frazier tied the MSU single season hits record with a game-opening double and notched his record-breaking 104th hit of the campaign with an infield single in the fifth. Junior infielder Brett Pirtle was struck by a pitch against OSU to extend his reached-base streak to 40 games.

Tossed a complete-game, four-hit shutout Saturday night for Indiana as the Hoosiers blanked Louisville 2-0. Indiana has won all six of its NCAA postseason games this year, weeping the NCAA Indiana Regional in three games and stunning host Florida State in a two-game Super Regional in Tallahassee.

Mississippi State conducted a brief Sunday morning workout in advance of Monday’s game.
