Moncrief Signs 4-Year Deal with Indianapolis Colts

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WCBI/Colts) – The Indianapolis Colts today signed wide receiver Donte Moncrief. The team has now signed all five of its 2014 NFL Draft picks.

Moncrief has reportedly signed a 4-year deal worth $2.745 Million. He also signed the contract with a $539,800 signing bonus.

Moncrief was selected by the Colts in the third round (90th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. He started in 37-of-38 games at Mississippi and finished his career ranked third in school history in receptions (156), receiving yards (2,371) and receiving touchdowns (20). He also ranked second in 100-yard games with nine.

As a junior in 2013, Moncrief earned All-America honorable mention and All-SEC second-team accolades from The NFL Draft Report after starting all 13 contests and totaling 59 receptions for 938 yards (15.9 avg.) and six touchdowns.

He ranked second on the team in receptions, while his receiving yardage ranked as the fourth-best single-season total in school history. In 2012, Moncrief led the team with a career-high 66 receptions, which ranked sixth in the conference, along with placing fourth in the school season record book. His 979 receiving yards marked the second-best total in a single season by a Rebel.
