Moody Leads Ole Miss To Win At Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) – Senior Stefan Moody scored a game-high 23 points, including 19 in the first half, as Ole Miss picked up a 69-59 road win at Auburn Saturday.

Ole Miss (17-10, 7-7 SEC) led 40-33 at halftime. Moody opened the second half with a block and a breakaway dunk.

Auburn (10-16, 4-10) cut the deficit to four points early in the half, but Ole Miss consistently repelled any rallies from there that the Tigers tried to string together.

The Tigers jumped out to an early 7-2 lead, but Moody keyed an Ole Miss scoring spurt that put the Rebels up by as many as eight points in the first half.

Marcanvis Hymon poured in 12 points for Ole Miss, which bounced back after losing to Texas A&M on Tuesday.

The Tigers got to within four points when T.J. Dunans’ layup with 14:39 remaining made it 46-42, but Tomasz Gielo hit a 3-pointer to extend the lead back out to seven.
