Myles, Shumpert and Jake Thomas Among 13 Football Freshmen Enrolled at Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI/MSU Athletics) – As the first term of summer classes began this morning at Mississippi State, 13 football student-athletes begin their academic careers.

Former Starkville Yellow Jacket Gabe Myles is one of 13 freshman football players at Mississippi State who have enrolled for summer classes.

Enrolled in first term summer school are Shelby Christy, Jamaal Clayborn, Tolando Cleveland, Kent Flowers, Dezmond Harris, Jahmere Irvin-Sills, Gabe Myles, Fred Ross, Ashton Shumpert, Jake Thomas, Brandon Wells, Damian Williams and De’Runnya Wilson.

Most of the veteran Bulldog roster is enrolled in summer classes and have begun preparations for the fall.

Mississippi State will open 2013 fall camp on Thursday, August 1. The Bulldogs kick off the 2013 campaign on Aug. 31 in Houston against Oklahoma State in the Texas Kickoff Classic at Reliant Stadium.

The game time on Saturday, August 31st in Houston is set for 2:30pm CT. The game will be broadcasted on ABC and ESPN2.
