North Pontotoc Basketball Star Signs with Blue Mountain

ECRU, Miss. (WCBI/BMC Athletics) —Andrea Lewis of North Pontotoc High, one of Northeast Mississippi’s top prep prospects signed a basketball scholarship Friday morning with Blue Mountain College.

North Pontotoc’s Andrea Lewis has signed to play basketball at Blue Mountain College upon her high school graduation.

Through the Lady Vikings’ first 15 games this season, Lewis, a 5-foot-9 guard, averaged 16 points per game, 6.8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. As a junior she averaged 19.2 points a game, 5.5 rebounds and led NPHS with 124 steals.

“Andrea is a quality person and basketball player who will be a perfect fit for our team,” said BMC coach Lavon Driskell.

“She is a very versatile player who knows how to score, and she’ll bring a lot to our team.”
