BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – As the rumors surrounding football head coaching moves continue in the NFL and the NCAA, Northeast names its man for next season Thursday.

Greg Davis will be the new head coach at Northeast Mississippi Community College. Davis has been with the Tigers since 2012. He was the offensive coordinator last season and the defensive line coach prior to that. He was also an assistant at Kentucky State University for two years.

Davis is the 14th head coach at Northeast. Ricky Smither was relieved of his duties a month ago after coaching for eight seasons.
