(WCBI Sports) – The Ole Miss football team is coming off a bye week and has a tough task ahead of it: a trip to Tuscaloosa and a date Saturday with the top-ranked Crimson Tide. The Rebels have lost the last nine games in this series, including a defeat in T-Town last year.

It’ll be a great atmosphere at Bryant Denny stadium, one the Rebels remember well.

“It’s one of the best in college football,” head coach Hugh Freeze said. “I love being in those atmospheres and those arenas. Hopefully our kids feel the same.”

“That’s why you come to SEC schools,” junior quarterback Bo Wallace said. “You want to play those type of games.”

It wasn’t a let down Saturday against Colorado State for Alabama, but it was a mistake-filled win at home this past Saturday. Head coach Nick Saban and senior quarterback A.J. McCarron talked Monday about playing with more consistency and said Ole Miss will be a challenge.

“Ole Miss has a really, really good team,” Saban said. “They’ve got a lot of starters coming back. We’re certainly going to have to play our best football to have any kind of success against them.”

“Physical defense, really an unbelievable defense, they’ve got one of the best in the country,” McCarron said. “It’s going to be a challenge for us as an offense to communicate and play at a consistent level.”

The Rebels and the Tide kick off at 5:30 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPN. WCBI will have highlights of the game during WCBI News at 10 p.m.
