Video: Ole Miss Demolishes UT Martin In Opener

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – The Ole Miss football team scored more points than it had in 80 years.

The Rebels routed UT Martin Saturday 76-3 at Vaught-Hemingway stadium in Oxford, putting up the most points since 1935. Ole Miss gained 662 yards of offense and scored 10 touchdowns.

Junior and EMCC product Chad Kelly started at quarterback, throwing for over 200 yards and two touchdowns, and junior defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche caught a touchdown pass. Three quarterbacks played for Ole Miss in the game. Sophomore Ryan Buchanan and DeVante Kincade both saw time as Buchanan threw for two scores, Kincade for one. Senior Jaylen Walton added two rushing touchdowns on just three carries.
