OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – The Rebels are riding the momentum from their upset win over #6 LSU. There’s both good news and bad news this week for the Ole Miss football team. The good news is that defensive end Cameron Whigham wins the SEC Defense Lineman of the Week award. The senior had a sack, a hurry and a pass breakup Saturday. The Rebels’ defense is the first team all year to hold LSU scoreless in the first half.

The bad news is in regards to injuries. Whigham is one of the guys questionable for Saturday’s game against Idaho. The others are running back Jeff Scott, defensive backs Mike Hilton and Senquez Golson, and linebackers Serderius Bryant and Keith Lewis.

Out are defensive linemen Robert Nkemdiche and Carlos Thompson, and the biggest news, tight end Evan Engram is out for the season with an ankle injury. The team hopes to have Engram back in the spring.
