Ole Miss Gives Hugh Freeze Raise, Extension

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – Ole Miss head football coach Hugh Freeze could have a top-ten salary nationally heading into next season.

The Rebels announce a raise Wednesday that bumps his average up to $4.925 million per year over the next four seasons. It’ll be an increase of $400,000 per season and the changes include a one-year extension, bringing it to the maximum four years allowed by the state of Mississippi.

The salary pool for Ole Miss’ nine assistant coaches will rise from $3,110,000 to $4,260,000 and the budget for operations, strength and conditioning and other support staff will increase by $260,000.
