Ole Miss’ Kincade Announces He Will Transfer

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – Ole Miss sophomore quarterback DeVante Kincade announced via social media Monday night that he intends to transfer out of the Rebels’ football program.

Kincade broke the news in an Instagram post. He stated that he wants to be closer to Texas, his home state.

He was in a battle for the starting quarterback spot in the early part of the season with fellow sophomore Ryan Buchanan and the ultimate winner, junior Chad Kelly. Highly-rated commit Shea Patterson is expected to join the team compete for the starting quarterback spot next season.
