Report: Ole Miss Athletics Issued Notice of Allegations by NCAA

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Sources have confirmed to Yahoo Sports reporter Pat Forde that the NCAA has formally charged the University of Mississippi with roughly 30 violations in three sports.

According to Forde, Ole Miss has received a Notice of Allegations from NCAA enforcement that those 30 violations come from women’s basketball, track and field, and football. As of now, there is no breakdown of how many violations stem from each sport.

In a statement from Ole Miss athletic director Ross Bjork, he addresses the NCAA’s Notice of Allegations:

“As has been the case for the past three years, we are bound by confidentiality and cannot comment publicly on the matter,” Bjork said. “However, I can say that I’m confident in how our coaches and staff operate our program, and we take compliance, NCAA and SEC rules very seriously. We are working hard to seek a resolution to this matter.”

According to standard NCAA protocol, Ole Miss and or other parties that were charged with violations will have 90 days to respond to the allegations.
