Saturday Baseball Postponed in Oxford, Sunday Doubleheader Scheduled

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI/Ole Miss Athletics) – Due to inclement weather in the area, the Saturday night baseball game between No. 6 Ole Miss (21-2, 3-1 SEC) and No. 24 Texas A&M (15-8, 3-1 SEC) has been canceled. The two teams will play a doubleheader beginning at noon on Sunday.

Ole Miss pitcher Mike Mayers is expected to get the start in the first of two vs. Texas A&M on Sunday.

The Sunday games will be a pair of seven-inning contests per Southeastern Conference rules.

Right-hander Mike Mayers (2-1) is slated to start game one for the Rebels, while Texas A&M is expected to send right-hander Daniel Mengden (3-1) to the mound.

Fans are asked to bring Sunday’s ticket to gain access to the games.
