AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) — Two Amory legends returned home on Wednesday night.

Bobby and Will Hall were back in the place they once called home this week, speaking to members of the First United Methodist Church of Amory.

Bobby spent his first season coaching the Biloxi Indians this past year while son Will led the West Georgia Wolves in NCAA Division II football to their second straight appearance in the D-II Semifinals under his leadership.

The two are well known across Mississippi for their success on the coaching circuit and at Amory High School.

Bobby was coach of the Panthers during two separate stints, from 1984-1989 and once more from 1993-1999.

His 1998 team, led by son Will at quarterback, was one of three State Champion football teams during Hall’s second tenure at Amory. The 1995 State Championship team is considered one of the most dominant high school football teams in MHSAA history, defeating opponents by an average of 41 points per game.
