Video: Columbus High’s State Champs Honored at Statehouse

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) — State Champions have a way of being honored around Mississippi.

On Wednesday, the 6A boys basketball State Champions from Columbus High School traveled down to the Statehouse in Jackson to be honored in front of the state legislature.

The Falcons won their first ever boys basketball State Championship this past March and will aim to repeat with a talented roster returning in 2016-17.

Sophomore guard Robert Woodard was also honored and recognized for winning a gold medal with USA Basketball team that competed in the FIBA Americas Championship this past summer in Argentina.
