STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Starkville’s basketball tradition continued on Friday.

Seniors Eryka Williams and Keith Harris both signed letters of intent to continue their basketball journeys in junior college.

Williams, the Lady Jackets’ third leading scorer this past year, will join the ICC Lady Indians and head coach Nanci Gray. Eryka helped lead Starkville and head coach Kristie Williams to a 26-3 record in the 2015-16 season and an appearance in the 6A State Tournament semifinals.

Harris, one of the leading scorers for the Starkville boys, signed to play basketball with the EMCC Lions next year. Keith was instrumental in being an energy guy for the Yellowjackets as they made a second consecutive trip to the 6A Boys State Championship game this past year.

Both Williams and Harris say they are looking forward to continuing the hard work of achieving their dreams on the hardwood following graduation at Starkville High.
