WINSTON CO., Miss. (WCBI) – Plans to revamp some of the buildings within the Louisville school district have some parents seeing red.

Parents and concerned community members packed the Noxapater Attendance Center Monday night for public hearing on a long term school building and renovation program.

Superintendent Dr. William Wade presented a slide show about the $7.5 million plan that would take the next two years to complete.

Some parents voiced their concerns about the cost, as well as the district’s spending priorities. Nearly every school in Winston County would be impacted.

The expansion would provide more space for everything from physical education to advanced course work at younger grades.
