Video: Lowndes Relay For Life Team Kickoff Fundraising Efforts

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A New Hope Middle School teacher grabs a pair of sheers before getting her first round of chemo on Friday.

Team NH Heroes Relay for Life kicked off with a hair cut on Thursday.

Carson Latham allowed Mitzi Brown to shave his head.

Brown was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Latham wanted shave his head to honor the teacher, along with other educators and in memory of his grandfather.

The school all dressed in purple for the event.

Relay for Life in Lowndes County is April 28th.
