Lowndes Woman Charged with Passing an Altered Prescription

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- 28 year-old Angela Barksdale of Caledonia was arrested Monday (12-3) on charges of passing an altered prescription at Walgreen’s Pharmacy. According to authorities Barksdale altered a prescription for Claritin to Claritin D which is a form of the drug that contains pseudo ephedrine an ingredient to make meth. Barksdale was on probation with MDOC and was being held at the Lowndes Jail when authorities found she was wanted in Lauderdale County on a charge of receiving stolen property. She is being held for other jurisdiction.
