Man Charged With Aggravated Assault Following Weekend Shooting

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – A Macon man continues to recover from a gunshot wound after a weekend shooting.

Now, 32 year-old Eric Douglas of Macon is charged with one count of aggravated assault.

Macon police say the shooting happened on Jefferson Street, near South Street this past Saturday night.

Investigators say some type of argument led to the gunfire.

Kenneth Reed of Macon was shot in the right leg.

The shooting remains under investigation.
