Man Enters Home Uninvited, Leaves With Criminal Charges

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Starkville man is arrested earlier this week after residents find an uninvited guest in their home, and leaves with a statutory rape charge.

Columbus Police arrested 20-year-old Eric Cannon on Sunday, July
24th.

The owners of a home on East Gaywood Street called police to report someone in their home that they never asked to come over.

Cannon went to that home because a teenager living there had invited him.

An investigation into the incident led to charges of statutory rape.

Cannon’s bond was set at $50,000 dollars.
