Video: Motorcycle Rally Canceled

STURGIS, Miss. (WCBI)-Plans for the 2013 Sturgis motorcycle rally in Sturgis have been canceled.

On Tuesday the Sturgis Board of Alderman had planned a workshop to develop a counter proposal but only Mayor Walter Turner, Alderman James Jackson, and Alderman Mike Collins showed.

The next scheduled meeting for the city board is in March.

The Rally says they needed a counter proposal by the end of February to adequately prepare for the August Rally.

This is the third consecutive year the rally has been canceled.
