MUW Alumna’s Documentary to be on National TV

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – If you plan to watch Mississippi Public Broadcasting, Sunday, get ready to see a Mississippi University for Women alumna’s documentary on racial reconciliation.

Myra Ottewell’s one-hour documentary called “Mississippi Remixed” will broadcast nationwide on about 60 Public Broadcasting Service stations Sunday at 11 a.m., and February 16 at 7 p.m.

Her documentary focuses on the current state of race relations in Mississippi.

Ottewell graduated from the W in 1969.

She grew up in Jackson in the middle of racial segregation, and the start of the Civil Rights Movement.
