TUPELO , Miss.  (WCBI) – We now know the identity of the Tupelo teenager who was hit and killed by a train around lunchtime on Thursday (1-10).

According to Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green, 16 year old Ron D’Angelo Woods died from multiple trauma.

The accident happened around lunchtime.

Woods was walking along the tracks between West Jackson and Blair Streets.

He was hit by a train headed toward the Crosstown intersection.

Woods was a student at Tupelo High.

He had always been fascinated by trains.
