LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)–Five people are rushed to the hospital after an S-U-V flips in Lowndes County Wednesday night. It happened on Nashville Ferry Road in Lowndes County, around eight o’clock.

According the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the Ford Escape was southbound, when its driver lost control. The SUV flipped and came to rest on its roof. We’re told there were 5 people in the vehicle, including a young child and a pregnant woman.

All 5 were taken, by ambulance, to Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening. No word yet on their names or conditions.
