Nationwide Manhunt Underway For Mississippi Murder Suspect

RANKIN COUNTY,  Miss. (WCBI)- A nationwide manhunt is underway for a man wanted for murder and aggravated assault in Mississippi.

28 year old Alex Bridges Deaton is described as a white male, five feet, nine inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.

He is considered armed and extremely dangerous.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department after deputies discovered Deaton’s girlfriend dead in her apartment after a welfare check.

Deaton is believed to be driving the victims car, a white 2012 GMC Acadia bearing a Mississippi Nurses Foundation tag.
