MACEDONIA, Miss. – (WCBI)It is typically a sleepy neighborhood, where crime is only watched on television and read about in newspapers.

That was until Tuesday morning.

Macedonia residents, who are accustomed to quiet mornings, were rattled after Lee County deputies discovered the dead.

Neighbors says while there are questions that remain unanswered, they do not feel like their safety has been compromised.

” I’ve just seen them pass, me passing there house up there. This is a quiet neighborhood. Nothing usually goes on and I feel safe,” says resident Kenny Gassaway.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation remains on the scene, at the time of this post.
