COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Angela Verdell has been appointed the newest member of the Columbus School Board.
Verdell will be replacing Tommy Prude and will be sworn in next month. Verdell will serve a 5-year term on the Columbus School Board and says as a regular citizen who cares about the community, she’s looking forward to having an impact.
“I’m originally from Columbus. I’ve worked in other states, been able to come here. I’ve donea lot of community service around town. I’ve been through a lot of different schools with my kids and so I’m just happy to be back at home to try and work and try to help the city to be the best it can be,” says Verdell.
