New School Superintendent Named in Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District named its new superintendent Tuesday night.

In a unanimous vote, trustees chose Dr. Eddie Peasant to replace the retiring Dr. Lewis Holloway.

Peasant currently serves as an Assistant Superintendent in the Tupelo School District.

He has served as a principal in Clinton High School and Gulfport Middle School, and is a former state Administrator of the Year.

Peasant’s first day on the job will be July 1st.
