WINONA, Miss. (WCBI) – You won’t to be able to buy a beer in Winona on Sunday anytime soon.

Some restaurant and convenience store owners had been pushing City leaders to allow beer sales from 1 until 7 p.m. on Sundays.

After about 10 minutes of discussion, Ward 5 Alderman Franklin Seals brought up the motion at Tuesday’s (9-17) Board meeting, but it died for lack of a second.

No word yet when this issue could surface again.

Thank God for God fearing people! I was never happier than when they didn’t get it passed to sell beer on Sunday!!! Now, I wish I could start a petition to close down ALL the liquor stores, because there are toooooooooo many would totally abuse it and take money away from their children and families. LETS INVITE GOD BACK INTO OUR HOMES AND LIVES FOLKS, I WILL JUST IMAGINE THAT HE WOULD MOST GLADLY & CHEERFULLY ACCEPT THE INVITATION!!!!
Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers, just remember when your talking to God upstairs, that just because He doesn’t answer, doesn’t mean He don’t care, sometimes God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.
