DERMA, Miss. (WCBI) – What if you were planning a special election and nobody qualified?

Derma City leaders are facing that dilemma after no one filed the proper paperwork to fill the late Richard Blaylock’s seat on the Board of Aldermen.

Since you can’t have a special election without candidates, the board will appoint Blaylock’s successor.

No word yet who it will be.

The appointment should come at next week’s Board meeting.
