NWS Confirms Tornados In Clay And Lowndes County
UNDATED (WCBI) – Preliminary storm surveys are now complete for Lowndes and Clay County and both survived EF1 tornados. The Clay County tornado was estimated to be on the ground for 3 miles with peak winds of 110 MPH.
The storm which struck Lowndes County traveled about 2.9 miles with a maximum widthof 100 yards and top winds of 105 MPH.
Damage from that storm was limited to mainly trees.
