Occhi Case Still Open After 24 Years

TUPELO (WCBI) Today marks the 24th anniversary of one of Mississippi’s most baffling missing persons case.
The picture below  is what 13 year Leigh Occhi looked like when she disappeared from her Tupelo home August 27th, 1992.

Leigh was at home after her mother went to work that morning but when her mother called to check on her there was no answer. That’s when they found blood and signs of a struggle at the home but no Leigh.  The only other evidence came about a month later when her glasses were mailed to her home with a Booneville postmark.   Over the years, detectives have honed in on possible suspects but have never been able to  make a strong enough case for an arrest.  This  picture below is an age progressed picture of what Leigh could have looked like 3 years ago which is the last age progression picture available.
