STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Hundreds of folks turned out Saturday night to recognize nearly two dozen Boy Scouts for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout last year.

The Pushmataha Area Council awarded the young men at their annual recognition dinner held at MSU.

The council also presented two Scouting volunteers with the Silver Beaver Award, the council’s highest honor.

MSU Baseball Coach John Cohen was the event’s keynote speaker.

The Pushmataha Area Council was established in 1925 and was named in honor of the Choctaw Tribe.
