STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A familiar sound of the season is back in the air:  Salvation Army bell ringers.

The organization kicked off its annual Red Kettle Campaign in at Kroger in Starkville with a special guest, Misissippi State head football coach Dan Mullen.

Throughout the holiday season, you will see volunteers from various churches, businesses, and community organizations outside local merchants happily ringing…rain or shine.

The money you drop in the kettles will help the salvation army carry out its mission.

If you would like to volunteer to be a bell ringer, contact your local Salvation Army office.
