COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -Relay for Life is hoping to meet their $160,000  goal for Lowndes County with their auction fundraiser.

Held at Lions Hill, the Go American Cancer Society relay for life raised $132,000 dollars and hopes the auction will push them over their set goal. A portion of the money will stay in Lowndes County for cancer patients in the area and the rest will go to advocacy, research and education.

Items on auction included an Alabama Football signed by Nick Saban, a lazy boy recliner, ray ban sunglasses and much more. The event was open to the public and any items not auctioned off will be saved for next year.
