VERNON, AL (WCBI)- Saturday’s weather was perfect for motorcycle ride. And that is what some folks did in Vernon Saturday at the first ever Ride for the Dawgs.
Motorcyclists rode 86.3 miles across Lamar Counties beautiful countryside. T-shirts were on sale along with lunch provided after the ride. Even though this is the first time this event, one rider says he is already thinking of new ideas to add to next year’s event.
“This is our first one so whatever we have, we are grateful for that and hopefully next year we’re going to build on it. Hopefully have a 5K run, a band, and just whatever we can do to give back to the community,”says Jerry Smith.
All the proceeds from Saturday’s ride will go towards the local the LCHS Booster Club.
