Sirens Sound Off During Severe Weather Week In Mississippi

MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) – Tornado sirens wailed across Mississippi Wednesday for the state-wide tornado drill.

It’s severe weather awareness week in the Magnolia State.

Meteorologists are trying to make people more aware of the types of weather that impact the state, including tornadoes, lightning, and flash flooding.

Tornado sirens are meant to alert people that are outside about incoming severe weather and not inside your home.

You should always have multiple ways to get alerts.
