Smithville Man Accused of Cutting Phone Lines

SMITHVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)-A Smithville man is accused of doing $40,000 dollars worth of damage to newly fixed phone lines. 20 year-old Melvin Livingston was arrested by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department yesterday after he allegedly went and cut several fiber optics cables shortly after they had been repaired. Livingston is charged with Malicious Mischief. His bond is set for later Wednesday (11-28).
