The eighth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide got seven no-hit innings from Tucker Hawley and a grand slam from Ben Moore to down the Jackson State Tigers, 8-1, on Tuesday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. With the victory, Alabama improved to 25-11 overall and 7-2 in midweek matchups, and Jackson State falls to 23-16.

After winning the final two games of its home Southeastern Conference series against Auburn, the No. 8-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (24-11, 10-5 SEC) will host the Jackson State Tigers (23-15, 6-9 SWAC) on Tuesday, with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. Jackson State comes into Tuesday's game having lost all three games of a SWAC series at Alabama A&M this past weekend.

Alabama junior left-handed pitcher Justin Kamplain (Jasper, Ala.) was named the Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. In his only appearance of the week, Kamplain earned the win after throwing 8.2 innings in a 4-1 Crimson Tide victory over Auburn on Saturday.
