Starkville Man Arrested For Felony Abuse Of A Vulnerable Person

STARKVILLE/TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Starkville man is arrested for felony abuse of a vulnerable person.

34-year-old Cleatonia “Tony” Burns is accused of hitting a 21-year-old patient that is mentally and physically disabled while Burns was employed as a direct care provider at Brandi’s Hope

Community Services in Tupelo.

Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office Medicaid Fraud Control Unit conducted the investigation with help from the Tupelo Police Department, and Burns was arrested with help from the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office at his home in Starkville and booked into the Lee County Jail.

He was released on a $5,000 bond, and his arraignment is set for July 5th.
