(WCBI)-Only six agencies in the state have earn national accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement and now Starkville Police Department can join that list.The department earned the accreditation Saturday (11-17) following the completion of 192 standards and 11 additional state state-specific qualifications. The department now joins Hattiesburg, Madison, Picayune, the University of Southern Mississippi and Mississippi State University. Oktibbeha County is the only one in the state with all three law enforcement agencies to have at least state accreditation.
