Video: Airports Across the Northern Half of the State Picking up FAA Grant Money

WASHINGTON D.C. (WCBI) – Some area airports will be seeing some major improvements thanks to about $4 million in grants.

The Louisville Winston County will receive nearly $115,000.00 from the Federal Aviation Administration.

U.S. Senators Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker announced the grants Monday.

Airports in Philadelphia, Winona, Starkville, Oxford, West Point and Lowndes County are also receiving money.

There is a variety of projects planned, including fence repair, airport apron repair, and developing a master plant.

Last month, the U.S. Senate passed a new FAA reform bill, allowing the Airport Improvement Program to expand.
