State Supreme Court Rejects Murder Convicts Appeal

JACKSON (WCBI) – The State Supreme Court says a Clay County woman will stay jailed on a murder conviction.

 

 

SHELTON

The high court Thursday rejected Tameshia Shelton’s claims their was not enough evidence to convict her of the 2009 murder of Daniel Young.  Young died after Being shot near Shelton’s home in the Mhoon Valley area of Clay County.   Justices also say there were no errors in jury instructions as Shelton’s attorneys claimed.   Shelton is serving a life sentence for the murder.
