Larry Billups

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-He tried to run they say but just couldn’t get away. 36 year-old Larry Billups of Columbus was arrested Monday after two attempts to allegedly flee police.  Billups had warrants out for his arrest and when a Lowndes County Deputy noticed him and tried to pull him over the deputy said he fled running from his car to take refuge in a residence.  Deputies searched his car and say they found marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.  Back up was called and they were able to apprehend Billups however, not before he attempted to flee again with his hands cuffed behind his back.  Billups is charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, and Fleeing or Eluding an officer.
