TISHOMINGO, Miss. (WCBI) -The dry county could be going wet. Tishomingo County residents could be voting in the next couple of months whether alcohol will be allowed to be sold in their county. According to Circuit Clerk Donna Dill, a petition started back in 2010 by resident Charles Aldridge brought up the issue. Her offices has been certifying signatures since March 21st and should be finished Thursday. The petition already has 26 hundred signatures. We’re told Aldridge may present the petition to the Tishomingo Board of Supervisors Monday; and if it’s certified and approved supervisors must schedule a special election in the next 60 days.
