Tupelo Furniture Market Wraps Up

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Over a million square feet of space filled with hundreds of vendors and shoppers from all over the country and world land in Tupelo for the annual Tupelo Furniture Market.

The latest edition of the Tupelo Furniture Market is in the books. Some vendors say numbers were a bit soft, but first time exhibitor, Beyond Borders Imports isn’t among those.

“I think that our style is little bit different than what Tupelo is use to seeing, so it was a fresh new look for Tupelo, and people were very excited to see this look here, and we do a lot of coastal colors, and whites and grays, which is so popular right now, so I think that’s why we had a lot of success here,” says Beyond Borders Imports CEO, Rebekah Osborn.

Sold tags decorated the few items left in the showroom that were waiting to be picked up by their new owners.

“It’s like fresh, it’s organic, and it’s really natural feeling. A lot of it feels like very antique, so it’s unique pieces, so I like pieces when you walk in the house it’s unexpected,” says shopper, Jennifer Mcadory.

The mother-daughter owned company introduces 50 to 100 new styles each year, and it’s their one of a kind style that emptied their showroom.

“Unfortunately, many things were sold when I first came in, so I probably have maybe 15 items,” says furniture buyer, Regena Chapman.

The pieces are unique because the store has operations halfway across the world and in Louisiana.

“We have a showroom there, and a retail store in Bali, and we sell from there, lots of people, lots of Australians and Europeans come, so we’re starting to ship to all of those places as well, so yeah, I think that’s one thing, you know the pricing is something that’s definitely drawing the people in,” says Beyond Borders Imports co-owner, Sharlene Boyle.

Good prices, detailed furniture, and lots of shoppers is what the Tupelo Furniture Market is all about.

The company has already committed to be at the Tupelo Furniture Market for the next two years.
