Tupelo Homeowner Helps Capture Burglar

TUPELO (WCBI) – A Tupelo man is facing burglary charges after being caught in the act.  Tupelo Police say two residents of a Deer Run home were awakened by their dogs just around two Friday morning That led one of them to grab a gun and search the home.

That’s when they found Khalil Hobson in their home.  Hobson was held at gunpoint until police arrived.  He attempted to flee when officers arrived but was captured following a brief foot chase.    Officers were already paying extra attention to that neighborhoods because a man matching Hobson’s description had been reported as acting suspicious about an hour before.   Hobson faces burglary of an inhabited dwelling charges and is being held on a $75,000 bond.
