Tupelo Lawyer’s Trial Date Set

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The trial is set for a Tupelo lawyer accused of assaulting a community college student.

Former Lee County Bar president Kirk Tharp is accused of grabbing Itawamba Community College student Kurtis Yarbrough through a car window and choking him, while parked at Mooreville One Stop in September.

Tharp will stand trial November 29th. He has entered a not guilty plea.
